Meet the Author

Breea Keenan

An experienced journalist, published poet and marketing manager,
Breea has been writing professionally for over 17 years. 

She obtained a first class honours degree in English Literature and Journalism from Strathclyde University and has worked as a journalist for various national and local media titles.

Breea’s poetry has been presented in different public settings too, from
a train station in Renfrewshire to online outlets and the Scottish Book Trust’s Blether book, published in 2019.

She currently works as a media and marketing manager in Glasgow and lives in Busby with her husband, Chris, and three children.

Meet the Illustrator

David Nichol

David Nichol studied Animation Electronic Media at
Duncan of Jordanstone College for Art and Design in Dundee and
has developed his career in creative marketing and change
management over the last 15 years. 

He spent six years in London before moving back to his native
Scotland in 2011. He currently works as a project manager at a government organisation in Glasgow

David worked with author Breea to develop the illustrations for
Nessie's Selfie and used his graphics' skills and experience to
design and format the story. 

He lives with his wife, Mhairi, and two children in Carmunnock.
